Starved Rock Adventures allows you to experience the beautiful Illinois River Valley in a completely new and different way. Houseboating is a very popular recreational activity for groups of people of all ages. From basic to luxury and packed with all the modern conveniences, our houseboats will serve you well as you Tom Sawyer your way through sweeping turns, diverse shores and steep bluffs.

You will be able to view historic towns, state parks, impressive bluffs, and abundant wildlife as you cruise the valley. There are opportunities for both the "adventurer" and the "laid-back" vacationer to enjoy themselves. The explorer in you will enjoy hiking in the valley's natural settings and the outdoorsman in you will want to catch some of the abundant varieties of fish including sauger, bass (largemouth, smallmouth, white, and striped), striper, catfish and walleye.

The very nature of a houseboat vacation includes swimming and you will be able to enjoy this activity using your large swim platform and your water slide. Starved Rock Adventures can also provide you with the opportunity to jet ski, water ski, or tube to increase your water enjoyment. Of course, if you want to take things a little easier you can always anchor out or pull up to our private island beach, grab a book or magazine and watch the world go by. No matter what you choose to do by day's end you will probably have worked up quite an appetite.

Our houseboats have fully equipped kitchens including refrigerators, stove/ovens, microwaves and gas bar-be-ques. You can spend the rest of the evening relaxing, talking, playing cards, or watching movies and preparing yourself for your next fun-filled vacation day.
