Starved Rock Adventures allows you to experience the beautiful Illinois River Valley in a completely new and different way.
You will be able to view historic towns, state parks, impressive bluffs and abundant wildlife as you cruise the valley.
There are opportunities for both the “adventurer” and the “laid-back vacationer” to enjoy themselves.
The explorer in you will enjoy hiking in the valley’s natural settings and the outdoorsman in you will want to catch
some of the abundant varieties of fish including sauger, bass (largemouth, smallmouth, white and striped), striper,
catfish and walleye.
The very nature of a houseboat vacation includes swimming and you will be able to enjoy this activity using your
large swim platform and your water slide. Starved Rock Adventures can also provide you with the opportunity to
jet ski, water ski or tube to increase your water enjoyment.
Of course, if you want to take things a littler easier you can always anchor out or pull up to our private island
beach, grab a book or magazine and watch the world go by.
No matter what you chose to do by day’s end you will probably have worked up quite an appetite.
Our houseboats have fully equipped kitchens including refrigerators, stove/ovens, microwaves and gas barbeques.
You can spend the rest of the evening relaxing, talking, playing cards or watching movies and preparing you next
fun-filled vacation day.

Policies and Information
Shuttle Craft: For your safety and convenience it is required
that each houseboat be accompanied by a small motorized boat. Renters may
supply their own or rent such from Starved Rock Adventures for the length of their
trip. Fishing boats are available at the special rate of $59 per day.
Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel, notify us in writing
at least 45 days prior to your boarding date. Your deposit will be refunded
less a facilitating fee ($150 - Captain's Series, $250 - Admiral's Series).
Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to scheduled departure are subject to forfeiture of total prepayment.
If you must re-schedule your vacation during the same year, there will be
a $50 facilitating fee charged up until 45 days prior to your trip. Any
rescheduling requests after this time will be treated as a cancellation.
We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as
a cause for cancellation.
No Pet Policy: We regret that we cannot allow pets aboard our
Starved Rock Adventures houseboats.
Orientation: Customer is checked out on all procedures at marina.
No special boat license needed, only respect for size of craft, its engines,
basic boating rules and common sense. Rentals are limited to adults age
21 and older with valid auto driver's license.
Dangerous Items: No fireworks, weapons or any other dangerous materials
are allowed on rental units.
Confirmation Deposit: A deposit is due (see applicable rental rates section for amount) when
reservation is made and applies toward rental fee. Full Houseboat payment is required 45 days prior to boarding.
Security Deposit: Prior to boarding a security deposit is due (see applicable rental rates section for amount).
Acceptable methods of payment are Mastercard, Visa,
Discover, cashier's check or cash. Sorry no personal checks accepted.
Refund of deposit is made five days after return of boat in the same
condition as checked out.
Acceptable methods of rental payment are cash, money order, personal
checks,cashier's check, travelers checks, MasterCard, Discover and VISA.
No rebates for late arrival or early returns.
It is agreed that Starved Rock Adventures, Inc. is not responsible
for any loss of cruising time due to mechanical failure, weather, river
conditions, and personal illness or accidents of renter. Starved Rock Adventures,
Inc. reserves the right to limit cruising areas during severe weather or
river conditions.
